Chances are if you have been on social media over the last few years, you would have stumbled across one of Robert Frank’s viral videos. A motivational speaker, content creator, fitness personality, Robert Frank ranks among the top social media influencers. His videos and catch phrases have reached millions and if you visit the “Glorious House of Gainz,” you may have even bumped into some of his loyal followers wearing his apparel. He is best known for his rage videos, where he can be seen shirtless in a car discussing current events and trends. At a now combined 2 million followers across multiple social media platforms, Robert Frank has come a long way since 2012, when he first started creating content online.
Robert, born in Princeton, NJ and raised in Central New Jersey, always had a passion for entertainment. He began backyard wrestling at age 21 where he performed in front of dozens of rowdy college students. “We did everything, from being thrown through tables, set on fire, slammed on thumbtacks, and getting hit in the head with garbage cans.” Robert’s love for wrestling can be seen in many of his videos where he cuts top notch promos. In his 20’s he also gained a love for the gym, where the Robert Frank character would be born.
Over the course of the last 15 years the gym has become a part of Robert’s lifestyle. “The pump you achieve at the gym is unlike anything else.” Robert is a firm believer that if you incorporate the gym into your life you will build confidence, which is beneficial for a successful career, relationship, and overall healthy style of living.
Prior to becoming self-employed, Robert spent 15 years as a member of the Local 863 Teamsters union driving a forklift and making a great living. Ultimately, his company laid everyone off and Robert was forced to go back to the drawing board. He decided this would be a good opportunity to become a personal trainer and pursue his passion as a career. One of his clients offered him a position as a salesman for an insurance company, where Robert was employed for almost 5 years. During this time, Robert began filming short videos inside of the gym he trained at. “After a few years of creating content, I was in a position where I could become self-employed and pursue a career as a social media influencer.”
Robert’s videos began to go viral and were shared by the largest multi-media pages on the internet, reaching millions of people all over the world. Videos about Rompers for Men, Fidget Spinners, Cinco De Mayo, Pokémon Go, Mannequin Challenge, New Years Resolutioners, Tide Pod Challenge, Fortnite, and more recently Infinity War and In My Feelings Challenge have millions of views online. The message behind each one of these videos is to get to the gym. According to Robert, his intention is to build confidence in those who lack it. “You either love me or hate me,” Robert says.
With the success of his viral videos reaching millions and grabbing the attention of some big names such as the Rock and Dan Bilzerian, Robert listened to his fans and came out with his own apparel line in October of 2016. Robert’s online merchandise store features many of his catch phrases, such as “Glorious House of Gainz,” and “Juicy AF.” He also became a sponsored athlete for a supplement company known as Steel Supplements. “Financially, I am doing better than I have ever done in my life,” Robert said. “Creating an LLC, registering trademarks, an online apparel store, a podcast show, traveling to events, creating content online for millions to view, these are some of the things I never imagined would be possible, but I am so thankful that I chased my goals.” Robert keeps himself very busy while he is outside of the gym, but he most enjoys creating content on YouTube, providing followers with tips and advice on how to be successful in many aspects of life, such as becoming a social media influencer. On many of his videos on his YouTube channel he can be seen talking to the camera giving a different side of his character.
While his character is very popular online, Robert has found that he is equally as popular off the web. He recently attended the Arnold Classic in Ohio and was swarmed by fans. In September, Robert will have a booth with Steel Supplements in Las Vegas at the Olympia. Fans from around the world will attend to meet some of their favorite fitness men and women. Similar to an event Robert attended in London in 2017, fans get to meet him and chat for a short period of time. “It’s always great to meet the people who support you and share the same passion for the gym and the fitness industry, as well as my comedic content.”
He also enjoys recording the “Glorious House of Gainz podcast” weekly. “It is very therapeutic for me, I get to sit down each Wednesday with the bros and discuss a variety of topics.” Robert’s podcast has done very well and averages roughly 10,000 listens each episode.
With over 1 million Instagram followers, and a collective 2 million followers on all platforms, Robert Frank has learned to monetize himself and create a successful business, a dream turned into a reality. Robert intends on continuing to grow his brand and is hopeful that he can find a way onto the big screen in the near future.
