Offering Premium Quality Bedding in over 28 Million Color Combinations, Bedface Has Disrupted the Bedding Industry
Tossing around ideas for years, E-commerce mavens Brad Westerop (founder of Thuggies.com) and Fraser Hall (founder of Article.com) were looking for the next big idea. Brad was always a fan of nice sheets but would never go to a store and spend $500 plus on a pre-packaged set, “it just didn’t make sense and not to mention, the selection just wasn’t appealing” he explained.
In 2015 Brad and Fraser capitalized on the success of their ventures and launched bedface.com amidst an upsurge in the bedding market. Category leaders Parachute Home and Brooklinen both offered quality bedding at a fraction of the cost, yet their lack in selection is where bedface stepped in.
bedface takes a product that is a daily necessity and enables choice and selection while cutting out the middle man. “With over 24 colors to choose from, you can finally have a bed that you consider your own,” says Brad.
Consumers can access the brand’s BedMaker tool via bedface.com and craft their dream bedding in over 28 million color combinations for pillow cases, flat sheets, fitted sheets, and duvet covers. “We have provided the consumer with immense hype-customization,” adds Brad.
All bedface bedding is designed with their proprietary custom milled cotton, facetech™, which offers year-round breathability and gets softer with each wash. Ontop of that, bedface backs all products with a 100 night guarantee—if consumers don’t like them, they can simply return them for a full refund.
To-date bedface is on track to achieve over $2MN in sales for year one. The brand was named finalist for “Most-Exciting Startup” in the 2016 Canada Post E-Commerce Innovation Awards and has already seen international media appeal from Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, and New York Magazine.
Rest-easy, it appears bedface is on the right track.
