The Twin Cities craft brewery scene is thriving, and one company is helping to expand the market’s horizons: The Beer Dabbler. As one of the top leaders in Twin Cities beer festival production, The Beer Dabbler hosts three sampling extravaganzas a year that connect breweries with consumers. Over the weekend, The Beer Dabbler and The Current put on the 10th annual Summer Beer Dabbler at CHS Field in St. Paul. It was a huge success!
The 2018 Summer Beer Dabbler was the perfect way for craft breweries in the local Twin Cities area and beyond to promote their latest beers to a mass of potential new fans. Over 130 breweries were on-site pouring samples of tasty brews and connecting with the local community of craft beer enthusiasts. Attendees could enjoy all kinds of beer, from IPA’s to stouts, all while taking in tunes provided by The Current (the event’s media partner).
Twin Cities breweries had a major presence at the Summer Beer Dabbler, as locals enjoyed beers from fave Minneapolis spots like Fulton Brewing (known for their Sweet Child of Vine IPA), Indeed Brewing Company, and Utepils Brewing (which brews beer from the highest quality water from the historic Glenwood Inglewood wells). Attendees also enjoyed sampling beer from popular St. Paul spots like Bad Weather Brewing Company, Urban Growler Brewing Company, and Flat Earth (known for their pale ale).
The Summer Beer Dabbler also attracted renowned breweries beyond the Minnesota state lines, including San Diego’s Ballast Point Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewery in Oregon, and Left Hand Brewing (of Colorado). Those who preferred beverages other than beer were also able to enjoy Press alcoholic seltzer, Truly Spiked & Sparkling seltzers, Harry Brompton‘s Hard Tea, and ciders by top labels like 2 Towns Ciderhouse and Ace Cider.
Throughout the day, attendees could also browse booths for lifestyle companies like Bootlegger Brewing kombucha (the event’s designated driver sponsor) and Minneapolis’s Continental Diamond jewelry store (the Pirate Ship Sponsor). Other must-see booths were for Dakota County Technical College (the Homebrew Contest Sponsor) and the pre-sale party sponsor, Dark horse Bar & Eatery. The event also featured a fireworks display courtesy of Clear River Beverage (which introduces quality craft beers to the Twin Cities).
Other companies that helped the event go off without a hitch were Treasure Island Resort & Casino (the online ticket sponsor), Pioneer Press (media partner), Red Cow (the volunteer T-shirt sponsor), and Minnesota United FC (stage sponsor). Glassware Sponsor HopCat provided sampling glasses and Hammer-Schlagen® (the event’s activity sponsor) provided an extra dose of fun for the attendees. DDi — Drink & Drive Intelligently (the event’s wristband sponsor) also ensured people were able to get their cars home safely.
Beer lovers also sampled Revitalyte (an electrolyte-packed rehydration solution) and learned about New Ulm CVB (a must-see city 90 miles southwest of the Twin Cities) and the Minnesota Wellness Connection group of chiropractic offices. Attendees also learned about Minnesota Financial Resources Inc., the Metro Transit Twin Cities transportation resource, All Energy Solar (dedicated to making solar affordable), Craft Notes Guide (the easiest way to explore MN’s craft drink scene), and Canopy by Hilton– Minneapolis.
The 2018 Summer Beer Dabbler was an exciting way for Twin Cities beer fantatics to discover new brews from both their go-to local spots and new favorite establishments. Companies were also able to market to throngs of consumers, which could potentially help them gain new fans. In all, the 2018 Summer Beer Dabbler proved to be a major brand marketing opportunity for businesses in the Twin Cities region and beyond.
